CCE promotes diversity and inclusivity and advocates for social justice, both on and off the IMSA campus. As cultural educators, CCE has three major purposes at IMSA: to conduct research on the social climate of our school, to create projects and events that focus on addressing the issues on campus, and to act as student leaders in the event of an incident of bias on campus and take action when necessary.
As the Community Director, I plan, organize, and host various school events throughout the year, including GAs (general assemblies), read-ins, courageous conversations, and discussion-led events like CCTea. I also manage our general membership and host check-ins, acting as a liaison between general members and the executive board.
The Titan Astronomical Society is dedicated to educating and generating interest in astronomy among the general IMSA student body and supply resources to those interested in pursuing a career in a space-related field. This includes events such as space network fairs, star parties, planetarium trips, and camping trips. TAS also familiarizes students on how to utilize tool that astronomers commonly work with.
As the secretary, I oversee the various committees that make our general membership, including the Curriculum, Activity, and Public Relations committees. We work towards enabling student interest in physics and engineering, especially in the aerospace field and industry.
Epoch is developing a student-developed CUDA-enabled high performance computing cluster to support Machine Learning (ML) and other computational workloads. Using this cluster, students can accelerate their training and computation workloads with highly-parallelized hardware.
Epoch is developing easy-to-follow curriculum to educate the IMSA community regarding ML and other computational fields. In addition to our Intersession events, we also hold various seminars throughout the year to engage the IMSA community.
