Carnatic Music

About

I have been learning Carnatic vocal and violin since the age of 7. I have learned violin from Vidwan Shree Pavan Singh Bhatti and I am currently under the tutelage of Vidwan Shree Abhishek Balakrishnan. I have learned singing from Sreemathi Rajeshwary Bhatt and I'm currently learning from Shree Aravind Sundar.

I've had the opportunity to perform at various places and events across the nation (mostly in Houston and Illinois) including the Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam, the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, and the Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple. I've also raised money for organizations like Shankar Nethralaya OM Trust, a non-profit eye hospital in India. You can find more pictures of my concerts in the gallery.

I performed at a fusion concert with Carnatic and Flamenco styles at MATCH Houston.

YouTube Channel

I also have a YouTube channel! If you are interested in Carnatic music, then make to follow to see concert recordings, song renditions, and even a few Tollywood covers. I love documenting my progress as I learn music, so you can also see my vocal and violin learning journey here. If you wanted me to cover a specific ragam, krithi, or even film song, don't hesitate to reach out to me through my email.

On the left, you can find my latest video, which was a cover of a rare beautiful composition in the Ragam Kalyani composed by Vanamaamalia Jiyar Swaami.

Other Music

Spotify

My sister and I love listening all sorts of genres of music, including but not limited to hip hop, classical, pop, and even Indian film songs. Some of my favorite artists are Kendrick Lamar, Ben Reily, Tally Hall, and The Marias.

We both make playlists on Spotify for fun, so I thought I'd share some of the songs we like on here, so you can enjoy! If you have song recommendations, please send me an email.
